The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in collaboration with Jigawa State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has distributed relief materials to the victims of the recent flood disaster in Malam Madori local government.
Hotpen reports that, no fewer than 1,000 flood victims benefitted from the distribution exercise.
The items distributed by the duo collaborators with procured the assorted foods item to cushion the suffering faced by the victims.
The items are: 384 of sorghums, 135 Bags of Millets, 323 Bags of Maize and 200 Bags of Rice respectively.
The Special Assistant to Governor Umar Namadi on State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Alhaji Ya’u Ado Garin Barma says the gesture is to cushion the suffering faced by the affected flood victims in the area.
He further stated that Governor Umar Namadi’s administration is ready to procure more relief materials and assist all victims of flood disaster in the State.
The flagging off ceremony has been graded by traditional leaders Ulamah, security agencies and press.
The Director Admin and General Services, Alhaji Baffale Umar urged the beneficiaries to utilize the food items given to them and commended Governor Namadi for considering the flood victims in time.
