A devastating flood has struck Maiduguri, leaving thousands of people homeless, without food, water, or shelter.
In a press released by Comred Bulama Abiso the Executive Director of NECSOB said, the situation is dire, and there’s need for an urgent assistance to provide relief to the affected communities.
The Network of Civil Society Organizations – Borno state (NECSOB) stated this, in there different interview with the newsmen in Maiduguri.
According to them they urged the Government, individual personality and non governmental organization to support in providing the following items:
- Food and Water: Non-perishable food items, bottled water and pure water
- Shelter and Blankets: Tents, blankets, and sleeping mats.
- Medical Aid: First aid kits, medicines, ORS and medical personnel.
- Clothing and Hygiene Items: Clothing, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and sanitary products.
- Financial Support: Funds to support relief efforts and rehabilitation programs.
