The Performance Delivery and Coordination Unit, under the office of the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar A. Namadi has held a three (3) day retreat to review mid-year performance of the Ministries, Agencies and Departments across the state.
Within these three days, the unit interfaced with representatives from various MDAs to verify submitted data on the progress recorded against the set targets in the performance bond earlier signed by the heads of agencies in January, 2024. The workshop was pivotal to streamlining government achievements into one single scorecard and finalizing the mid-year performance reports for the attention of the Governor.
Speaking at the session, the Coordinator of the PDCU, Mallam Adamu Muhammad Garun-Gabas (Principal Private Secretary to the Governor), stressed the importance of the exercise in driving the manifested 12 Goals Agenda of Jigawa State Governor.
He emphasized the need for the members of the PDCU to scrutinize and fine-tune all the submitted evidence for accuracy, relevance and completeness. The Coordinator also expressed his appreciation to the FCDO-PERL program for the support extended to the State Government in actualizing the PDCU and supporting the review process.
The PDCU comprises of professional technocrats selected based on merit and specialization to support the delivery of the Governor’s 12 Point Agenda.
