The Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment, (AGILE) in Zamfara state has conducted a sensitization meeting with principals and other stakeholders in education on how address grievances redress mechanism GRM among students in all secondary schools across the state.
According to the social safeguard officer, Agile project in Zamfara state, Hajiya Binta Ayuba, a total of 1266 principals and other critical stakeholders drawn from all 14 local government areas in the state were attended the meeting.
The meeting was held at Zamfara teachers training center in Gusau Thursday.
According to her, the meeting was aimed at enhancing the capacity building on Grievance Redress committee members across 14 local government areas in the state.
She further opined that a strong committee was constituted in each secondary school in the state to oversee the grievance redress mechanism issues in their respective school under the leadership of all principals.
Hajiya Binta Ayuba further revealed that the Agile main Blueprint is to improve secondary school education opportunities among girls in targeted areas in Zamfara State.
She charged all principals to remain committed in the ensuring grievances redress mechanism project has been addressed in their respective schools.
According to her, the Agile project in Zamfara state will remain resolute in supporting all schools to address any form of gender based violence and grievances redress mechanism among Students in the state.
