KANO – The Leadership of the Correspondent Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kano Chapter, on Wednesday felicitated with the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, on his conferment with Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR).
A statement by the Chairman, Kano Chapter of the Correspondent chapel of the NUJ that was made available to newsmen in Kano said “this well-deserved recognition is a testament to Senator Jibrin’s exemplary leadership and contributions to the development of Nigeria.
Alhaji Aminu Garko stated that “As a distinguished senator representing Kano North, you have demonstrated unwavering commitment to the welfare of not only your constituents, but the nation at large .”
He said “We recognize that Senator Jibrin’s impressive political career spans over two decades, with notable achievements in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. His expertise in accounting and financial management has been invaluable in shaping Nigeria’s budgetary processes.”
The statement by Garko read in parts : “We commend Senator Jibrin’s dedication to public service and his role in promoting the interests of Kano State and Nigeria. This honor not only reflects his individual achievements but also brings pride to the people of Kano State.”
“We wish Senator Jibrin continued success in his endeavours and look forward to his continued service to the nation.”
