The National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said the timely intervention of Jigawa state government led Mal. Umar Namadi has saved many lives of Majia residents from the tragedy.
Dr. Ganduje disclosed this while on a condolence visit to Jigawa state over the weekend, said Governor Namadi has proved to be a kindhearted leader for his timely intervention to rescue people affected by the fuel tanker explosion that occurred on Tuesday in Majia town.
Hotpen reports that the fuel tanker explosion has caused the lives of over 170 lives with 90 others receiving treatment across some health institutions in the state and neighboring Kano and Yobe states.
Ganduje who is the immediate past governor of Kano State explained that APC as a ruling party appreciated Governor Namadi’s efforts in taking care of the burial of deceases as well as payment of medical expenses of the injured ones.
His words:-“APC as one family is happy to associate itself with the swift response taken by Governor Namadi in taking full responsibilities of the affected victims and injured ones, we pray to Allah to forgive them and accept their Shahadat.”
Responding, Governor Umar Namadi expressed appreciation to the national chairman for leading the national working committee of the party to the state for a condolence visit, saying this has proved that APC is working as one family.

Governor Namadi later led National Chairman and his entourage to Rasheed Shekoni Specialist Hospital Dutse and sympathized with the victims of the fuel tanker explosion.
