Renowned Hausa actress Wasila Ismaila has died after a brief illness. She succumbed to complications from diabetes and high blood pressure at FOMWAN Hospital, Kaduna, this afternoon.
Her former husband, Al’amin Ciroma, announced her passing on Facebook, stating, “May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
Wasila, a former Liberty Radio Kaduna staff member, served as Head of Media for the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF). She leaves behind four children. Islamic burial rites will be held at her family home in Kaduna.
