Mahmud submitted his notice of intent to vie for APC ticket

Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, a former, Member House of Representatives has declared his intention to contest the Ajingi/Gaya/Albasu Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections

Gaya, immediate past Independent Non-Executive Director of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority and a Non-Executive Director at the Nigeria Electricity Liability Management Company (NELMCO)made the declaration at the APC state headquarters shortly after submitting his notice of intent to vie for the party’s ticket.

He said his decision was driven by a commitment to public service and the need to advance the welfare and development of the constituency, which he described as having great potential for effective representation.

Gaya, who represented the constituency for two terms from 2015 to 2023, cited his track record and experience as evidence of his capacity to deliver. He noted that his years in office gave him a clear understanding of the people’s needs.

“This exposure has equipped me with the tools to provide purposeful leadership and practical solutions to the challenges facing our constituency,” he said.

If nominated, Gaya pledged to build on his past achievements and expand development across Ajingi, Gaya, and Albasu LGAs. He also promised to foster unity and cooperation within the APC, emphasizing inclusive engagement with stakeholders.
