The hopeful candidate under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress for contesting the seat of Member, Federal House of Representatives Gwarzo/Kabo Federal Constituency, Alhaji Muhammad Usman Barau Gwarzo, has been successfully screened ahead of the forthcoming 2027 General Election.
The screening exercise took place at the national headquarters of the party in Abuja, was conducted peacefully and transparently in line with the democratic principles and constitutional guidelines of the party.
Party stakeholders and supporters described the successful screening as a major breakthrough and another important step towards the realization of the aspirant’s vision to provide quality representation and inclusive leadership for the people of the constituency.
Members of the Screening Committee were commended for their professionalism, fairness and diligence throughout the exercise, ensuring a credible and orderly screening process for all aspirants.
Speaking shortly after the successful screening at the APC National Secretariat Abuja, Barau Gwarzo expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the success recorded during the exercise and appreciated the leadership of the party for creating a conducive and transparent atmosphere.
He also thanked supporters, political associates, women groups, youth organizations, elders and well-wishers from across Gwarzo Local Government Area and Kabo Local Government Area for their continued prayers, encouragement and unwavering support.
According to the aspirant, his political ambition is driven by the desire to promote development, improve the welfare of the people and ensure effective representation that would bring meaningful progress to the constituency.
He stated that the people of the constituency deserve leadership that is honest, dedicated, disciplined and focused on addressing the challenges affecting communities across the area.
Alhaji Gwarzo further promised that if elected into office, he would work tirelessly towards improving healthcare services, supporting educational advancement, empowering youths and women, promoting agriculture and facilitating infrastructural development.
He emphasized that education remains one of the strongest tools for societal transformation, pledging to support initiatives that would improve learning opportunities, scholarship programs and access to quality education for students within the constituency.
