The Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government Area, Dr. Mani Tsoho, has extended warm felicitations and heartfelt greetings to Muslims across the local government area and beyond on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-El-Adha celebration.
Dr. Mani Tsoho made the statement shortly after the Eid-El-Adha congregational prayers held at the Central Eid Prayer Ground in Gwarzo, where thousands of Muslim faithful gathered to observe the annual religious festival in an atmosphere of peace and devotion.
The Chairman congratulated the Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, and his Deputy, Murtala Sule Garo, for witnessing another Eid-El-Adha celebration in good health and sound leadership.
He also extended special greetings to the Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Muhammad Tajuddeen Othman, and the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Fatima Adamu Barde, for their commitment and support towards effective grassroots administration across the state.
Dr. Mani Tsoho further acknowledged the contributions of traditional rulers, Islamic scholars, political stakeholders, community elders, youth groups, women organizations, civil servants, and development partners for their continued cooperation and support in promoting peace and progress within Gwarzo Local Government.
According to him, Eid-El-Adha remains one of the most significant celebrations in Islam as it teaches the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, patience, unity, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
He urged Muslims to continue to reflect on the lessons of Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience and dedication to Allah by embracing honesty, tolerance, compassion, and love for one another in their daily activities.
The Chairman called on residents of Gwarzo Local Government to continue living peacefully with one another irrespective of ethnic, political, or social differences, stressing that peace and harmony remain the foundation for meaningful development in every society.
He noted that no community can achieve sustainable growth without unity, mutual respect, and collective responsibility among its people, adding that the festive period should be used to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and togetherness.
