The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gombe Branch, has honoured former Chief Judge of Gombe State, Justice Mu’azu Abdulkadir Pindiga, with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the administration of justice and the growth of the judiciary.
The award was presented during a ceremony attended by legal practitioners, judicial officers, government officials and other dignitaries in Gombe.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the NBA Gombe Branch Alhassan Mu’azu said the honour was in appreciation of Justice Pindiga’s years of dedicated service, integrity and commitment to upholding the rule of law.
He said the retired jurist played a significant role in strengthening the justice system in Gombe State and earned the respect of both the Bench and the Bar through his exemplary leadership and professionalism.
According to him, Justice Pindiga’s contributions to the judiciary have left a lasting legacy and continue to inspire younger generations of legal practitioners.
“His commitment to justice, fairness and judicial independence has contributed immensely to the development of the legal profession and the administration of justice in the state,” he said.
Responding, Justice Pindiga expressed appreciation to the association for the recognition, describing the award as a great honour and encouragement.
He said the recognition would further motivate him to continue supporting efforts aimed at promoting justice, the rule of law and the advancement of the legal profession.
The former chief judge also urged lawyers and judicial officers to remain committed to professionalism, ethical conduct and fairness in the discharge of their responsibilities.
