Kano State Deputy Governor, Murtala Sule Garo has on Monday led Government delegation on a condolence visit following the passing of the Sardaunan Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji.
The visit was to deliver Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s message of sympathy to the bereaved family, the Sultanate Council and the government of Sokoto State.

At the residence of the late Sardauna, the Governor’s message of sympathy was delivered to the bereaved family, accompanied by prayers for Allah to forgive the deceased, admit him into Aljannatul Firdaus, and grant his family the patience to bear the loss.
Responding on behalf of the family, the eldest son of the deceased, Aminu Abubakar Alhaji, expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a source of comfort at a difficult time.
From the family residence, the entourage called at the Palace of the Sultan of Sokoto, where the Governor’s message of condolence was presented to His Eminence, Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III.
The Sultan commended the gesture, describing it as a reflection of the enduring bond and longstanding fraternity among the people of Northern Nigeria.

The delegation later paid a condolence visit to the Sokoto State Government House, where Garo delivered Governor Yusuf’s message of sympathy to the Deputy Governor and the Secretary to the State Government.
He also offered prayers for strength and comfort for the government and people of Sokoto State in the wake of the loss.
Accompanying Garo were the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim; the Emir of Rano, His Royal Highness Ambassador Muhammad Isa Umaru; the State APC Chairman, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa; some commissioners; and other senior government officials.
