DUTSE — The Jigawa State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has directed that no meeting or party activities should be held in its name without prior written approval from the state leadership.
The directive is contained in a notification dated August 5, 2026, and signed by the State Chairman, Alhaji Sani Muhammed Gumel, and the State Secretary, Alhaji Isah Musa Matara.
According to the notification, the decision takes immediate effect and covers all meetings, consultations, sensitisation programmes, mobilisation exercises, gatherings and other activities conducted on behalf of the party.
The chapter said organisers of any meeting or official party activity must obtain prior written approval or contact any of the designated state officers through their official telephone numbers before proceeding. The authorised officers are the State Chairman, Dr. Sani Mohammed Gumel (09130306842); the Deputy State Chairman, Amb. Nuraddeen Suleiman Jidawa (08035976627); and the State Secretary, Dr. Isah Musa Matara (08063429610).
It said any meeting or activity held without the required approval would be regarded as unauthorized and would not be recognised by the party.
The leadership also warned that those found to have violated the directive could face disciplinary action in accordance with the provisions of the ADC Constitution and other relevant party regulations.
According to the statement, the measure is intended to strengthen internal discipline, promote unity, improve coordination of party affairs and ensure compliance with the constitutional procedures guiding the activities of the party in Jigawa State.
The party urged all executives, stakeholders, support groups, officials and members to comply with the directive, stressing that all activities undertaken in the name of the ADC must henceforth follow the established approval process.
