The death of the Emir of Gumel, Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Sani II, has been described as a great loss to Jigawa State and Nigeria as a whole.
The Acting Rector of Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic, Kazaure, Dr Bashir Ahmad Danzomo, made the statement in a condolence message issued on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, staff and students of the institution.

Dr Danzomo described the late Emir as a father, mentor and dedicated statesman who devoted his life to the service of humanity and the development of his community and the nation.
According to him, the late monarch was enthroned as the Emir of Gumel in 1980 during the administration of the late Governor Abubakar Rimi of the then former Kano State.
He explained that the Polytechnic Management was deeply shocked and saddened by the news of the Emir’s death, describing his passing as an irreparable loss to the people of Gumel Emirate, Jigawa State and Nigeria.
The Acting Rector extended the institution’s heartfelt condolences to the Jigawa State Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi, the Gumel Emirate Council, the deceased’s family and the people of Jigawa State over the loss.

Dr Danzomo prayed to Allah SWA to forgive the late monarch’s shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus and give his family, associates and the people of Gumel Emirate the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
