Kebbi State Police Command has organised a stakeholders engagement meeting for Peaceful conduct of Campaigns in the state.
In their separate speeches, during the opening of the meeting at the Auditorium of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi, Commissioner of Police in the state, CP, Umar Muhammad Hadejia stated that as the campaigns for governorship and state’s assembly scheduled to commence on Sept 9, 2026, this engagement meeting is therefore paramount important for the Stakeholders to sets standards to ensure a peaceful conduct of Campaigns by all political parties across the state.

According to the Police boss, his command will exbit it neutrality, professionalism, and provide equal protection all aspirants during the Campaigns periods.
He noted that though, Kebbi State shares international boundary with Benin and Niger Republics in addition to having vast border with frontline states of Zamfara, Sokoto and Niger states and coupled with trans-border movement and peculiar security challenges in the North-West region, the command will remain proactive, especially across the border local government areas like, Arewa, Augie, Dandi, Bagudo, Yauri, Shanga, Danko-Wasagu and Sakaba during the Campaigns.
CP Hadejia however promised to ensure order during the Campaigns by providing adequate security at all Campaigns venues, rallies, and political gatherings across the twenty one local government areas of the state.
He urged all political parties candidates, and support groups to notify the police of the date, time and venue 48 hours before they embark on their Campaigns.

Also Residents Electoral Commissioner (REC) Hon Abubakar S/Pawa Dambo urged political parties candidates and their supporters to show doctrum while embarking on Campaigns
He noted that Campaigns of calumny, abuses or deformation will not attract to become victorious in the elections.
Other speakers in the meeting were the state director of National Orientation Agency ( NOA), Abubakar Karofi, NSCDC, DSS and vigilantes representatives and chairmen of APC, ADC, SDP, AP, NDP among others where they all agreed to conduct their Campaigns in a peaceful manner throughout the periods.
