An African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain Hon. Aliyu Tukur Gantsa has called for dialogue and reconciliation among members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State, urging party leaders and supporters to resolve their differences through internal democratic mechanisms rather than litigation.
He expressed disappointment over the decision to take the party to court, saying political disagreements should be addressed through dialogue, consultation and reconciliation.
Hon. Tukur Gantsa who is also Deputy Organizing Secretary Northwest of the party, made the call while speaking at an ADC support group town hall meeting held at the Yar’adua Centre.
According to him, the ADC remains a political family and disagreements among its members should not be allowed to undermine the unity and future of the party.
“Political disagreements should be resolved through dialogue, consultation and internal democratic mechanisms rather than prolonged legal battles,” he said.
Gantsa stressed that Jigawa State needed unity, maturity and reconciliation, urging party members to place the interests of the ADC and the people above individual differences.
He explained that the priority should be to build a stronger and more united ADC capable of providing Nigerians with a credible political alternative ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Hon Gantsa, a Member of the National Working Committee of ADC commended those calling for peace within the party, saying political differences should not become greater than the collective objective of strengthening the ADC.
He urged party leaders and members to reconcile their differences and work together for the progress of the party and the people.
“ADC is one family. ADC is for the people. Unity is our strength,” he said.
Gantsa also prayed for divine guidance and wisdom for the party’s leaders in resolving the ongoing differences peacefully.
The development comes amid internal disagreements within the ADC in Jigawa State, with stakeholders calling for reconciliation and greater unity ahead of the 2027 elections.
