Danbayo’s Foundation has unveiled an educational support initiative targeting about 83,000 pupils and 415 teachers across 83 schools in Gombe State, as part of efforts to improve learning conditions and ease the burden of education on parents.
The initiative was formally unveiled on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Alabura S. Kudin Model Nursery, Primary and Junior Secondary School, Kumbiya-Kumbiya, Gombe State, where educational materials were provided to support teaching and learning.

The foundation said the programme was designed to complement government efforts in the education sector, encourage pupils to remain in school and provide teachers with basic materials to facilitate effective classroom instruction.
The materials include class registers, lesson plan books, exercise books, markers, rulers, pencils, sharpeners, erasers and dusters.
According to the foundation, the proposed coverage of 83 schools and the targeted beneficiaries would be subject to implementation and the extent of programme coverage.

Speaking on the initiative, the founder of the foundation, Amb. Yusuf Musa Danbayo, said the organisation was inspired by the life, values, compassion and humanitarian legacy of his late father, Danbayo.
He explained that the initiative was a continuation of humanitarian activities that began in 2004 with environmental protection and tree-planting exercises in Gombe, followed in 2005 by educational assistance to children from less-privileged backgrounds.
Such support, he said, included school enrolment, uniforms, assistance with Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) requirements, exercise books and other learning materials.
Danbayo said the foundation believed that investing in education was essential to building a better society, adding that even modest contributions could make a lasting difference in the lives of children.
He urged parents to encourage their children to embrace education, discipline, honesty, respect and hard work, while calling on teachers to recognise their role in shaping the character, confidence and future of the younger generation.
