The Katsina State Manpower Audit and Verification Committee has concluded its assignment.
In a statement signed and made available to Hotpen by the Spokesperson of the committee on behalf
of the Committee’s Chairman, Hassan Muhammad Tukur, said, already report on the exercise has been submitted to the Head of civil service of the state, Alhaji Usman Isyaku.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, the Chairman of the committee, Alhaji Rabi’u Abdu Ruma explained that the committee had painstakingly produced the Report that would serve as a data bank for the planned public sector reform by the present administration in the state.
Alhaji Rabi’u Ruma announced that the report and its annexures would serve as referral recòrds not only to the present administration and its workforce but to future governments and generations of civil servants in the state.
He expressed gratitude to the state government through the Head of the civil service for finding members of the committee worthy to contribute in the effort to restore the lost glory of the public service in the state.
Alhaji Rabi’u Ruma also appreciated the the support given by the Head of the Civil Service and offices of the Auditor General and the Accountant General of the state for the support towards accomplishing the mandate of the committee.
He also recognised the support given by the Organized Labour duely represented on the committee by the chairmen of the state chapters of the NLC and TUC.
Responding, the Head of the civil service of the state, Alhaji Usman Isyaku assured that the Report will be laid on the table of Katsina State Governor Mallam Dikko Umar Radda phd for possible implementation of the recommendations put forward by the committee for reforms to be carried out in the public service.
He expressed optimism that the present administration would Carry out reforms in the civil service for the development of the state in that regard.
Alhaji Usman Isyaku expressed gratitude to the chairman and members of the committee for the sacrifices of their time and energy to see to the successful completion of the assignment.
