No fewer than six people have been shot dead by the group of armed bandits in Dansadau Town of Maru local government area in Zamfara state.
Resident of the area who pleaded not be mentioned his name in a telephone interview with Hotpen said, the bandits invaded the town at around 2:00 pm in the afternoon Tuesday riding motorcycles in their large numbers.
According to him, the terrorists began shooting sporadically on people along Dansadau motor park and main market were four people sustained serious gunshots during the attack.
“When we sighted their coming, people began running helterscalter for their safety but unfortunately, six of our people were killed by the bandits as four people sustained serious gunshots now receiving medical attention at our general hospital”. He added
Our correspondent observed that Dansadau Town in Maru local government in the state has become inaccessible for over two years as bandits territory made the area their territory.
Efforts to reach the state police command spokes person Asp Yazeed Abubakar by our correspondent failed as at the time of compiling the report as all his lines were not available.
