The wives of Kebbi State Governor, Hajia Nasare Nasir Idris and Hajia Nafisa Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu have lauded the massive participation of women during the local government’s elections that held on Saturday across the twenty one local government areas of the state.
Speaking shortly after they casted their votes at Nagari College, Bayan Science polling Units in Birnin Kebbi metropolis,
Hajia Nasare Nasir Idris said she was overwhelmed with the large turnover of the electorates especially women during the Saturday’s Local Governments elections in the state.
She assured of women inclusiveness in Kauran Gwandu led administration which according to her has already started and will continue.
She called on people to continue support the administration of Governor, Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu for its continuity in delivering all its campaigns promises.
Also Hajia Nafisa Nasir Idris expressed her happiness towards the large turnout of women in the state’s local governments elections and called on other state’s women to emulate efforts of women in Kebbi in election Participation.
She pointed out that in case of Kebbi State, it was the tremendous achievements recorded by the Kauran Gwandu led administration which attracted electrotrates particularly women to come out enmasse to vote APC Candidates in the state.
Hajia Nafisa however commended the efforts of the state government for funding KIESEC to conduct the local governments elections.
