An All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the Ajingi, Gaya, and Albasu Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general elections, and former Independent Non-Executive Director of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority, Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, has congratulated Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo on his nomination as Deputy Governor of Kano State.
Gaya described the governor’s decision to nominate Garo—a grassroots politician from within the party’s ranks—as a unifying move likely to gain broad acceptance across the APC’s existing structures, particularly among members of the old bloc.
He noted that Garo’s reputation for humility and loyalty positions him as a dependable partner in advancing Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s second-term agenda.

by his media directorate, Gaya said the nomination was well deserved, reflecting Garo’s dedication, experience, and longstanding commitment to public service.
