The Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board has distanced itself from individuals allegedly collecting money from unsuspecting members of the public with promises of securing teaching appointments.
This was contained in a statement signed by Isah Mohammed Jungudo, Public Relations Officer of the Board, said the board expressed concern over reports that some fraudulent individuals had developed the habit of extorting money from job seekers under the guise of facilitating employment into the teaching service.
The board stressed that it has no connection whatsoever with such activities and warned members of the public against dealing with anyone claiming to offer teaching jobs in exchange for money.
SUBEB reaffirmed that all recruitment processes into the board are conducted through official procedures and in line with government regulations.
The statement further urged the public to promptly report any person suspected of engaging in the illegal collection of money for teaching employment to the appropriate authorities for necessary action.
The board also called on relevant security agencies to intensify efforts toward identifying and prosecuting those involved in the fraudulent practice in order to protect innocent citizens from exploitation.
SUBEB assured residents of its commitment to transparency, accountability and fairness in all employment processes across the state.
