All Progressive Congress ( APC) Aspirant of Kebbi Central Senatorial District, Kabir Sani Giant kicked against the conditions applied by the Consensus Committee constituted by State government.
Speaking to Journalists, Sani Giant refused to append his signature regarding to the Consensus agreement laid down by the committee.
He said ” I rather to challenge or face any candidate be it a newbreed or old hand in the race test our popularity in the Primary elections which is the last option as directed by national party of APC.
“When I was invited by the Consensus Committee to sign an agreement form on the pretext to withdraw from the contest I declined and told them to allow me consult my lawyer to enlighten me on content of the form and consequences it involves ” he added.
Giant further clarifed that contrary to some rumours going round in some quarters that he was pushed by the present minister of budget and economic planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu to join the race noted that neither the minister or any other person who asked him or directed him to join the Kebbi Central Senatorial District race.
He confirmed that it was the people of the Kebbi Central that lured him to join the race as a newbreed politician so as have changes of developments in the constituency.
He also made it clear that if leaders have intervene in the matter therefore has no option than to go back those people whom requested him to join the race and seek their permission either to quit or otherwise.
