The newly appointed Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo , Dr. Yusuf Muhammad,
has reaffirmed the Governing Council’s dedication to repositioning the Polytechnic for greater achievements.
Dr Yusuf said this when he interacted with the Federal Polytechnic, Kaltungo community
on campus including the management, staff and students, described Kaltungo Polytechnic as one of the indispensable to Nigeria’s industrial and technological aspirations, and acknowledged the contributions of the polytechnics to middle-level manpower development in the country, remained critical to national growth.
The Chairman stressed the need for sustained investment in the polytechnic system, stressing, “The country’s quest for technological advancement cannot be achieved without well-funded and properly equipped technical institutions. We are always partners in progress. Everything we do is to improve and make things work better.”
Dr.Yusuf thanked the staff and students for the warm reception accorded him, added that he has listened to the concerns, suggestions, and expectations from both staff unions and the student body and described the interaction as timely and will help to strengthen dialogue, promote transparency, and foster unity of purpose within the Polytechnic community.
The Chairman commended the Rector of the Polytechnic Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua and his management team, for maintaining a cordial working relationship with the unions and creating an enabling environment for teaching, learning, and service delivery, and for infrastructural development and academic excellence.
He also applauded students for their discipline and commitment to academic excellence, reassured the institution, community of the Council’s continued support for projects and policies that will enhance infrastructure, staff welfare, and student experience on campus.
