The Jigawa State Government has flagged off a free vaccination exercise for over 5,000 domestic animals in Malam Madori Local Government Area.
The exercise followed the commissioning of a newly built ultra-modern veterinary clinic by the Malam Madori Local Government Council to boost livestock production in the area.

Flagging off the exercise, the Commissioner for Livestock Development, Prof. Salim Lawal Abdurrahman, said the state government, through the ministry, had equipped the clinic with drugs and vaccines to improve animal health and productivity.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Salisu Abdullahi, supervised the vaccination of ruminants including cattle, goats, sheep, dogs, and poultry.
He noted that the ministry had provided adequate vaccines and drugs to treat and prevent diseases in more than 5,000 animals in the LGA.
In his remarks, the Zonal Veterinary Officer, Dr. Haruna Abubakar, pledged maximum support and cooperation to ensure the clinic operates effectively.

The Chairman of Malam Madori LGA, Salisu Sani Garungabas, said the council remains committed to implementing Governor Umar Namadi’s 12-Point Agenda so that residents can benefit from the dividends of democracy.
In a vote of thanks, the Chairman of Miyetti Allah/Kautal Hore in the area, Alh. Hussain Adamu Isah, commended the Governor Umar Namadi administration and the council chairman for including herders in government activities.
