Death is inevitable to every mortal being. The day we are born is also the day we begin the journey toward the grave.
Mallam Muhammad Bello Sharada has answered the call to eternity. He is no more.
Not long ago, he made a public post soliciting prayers and goodwill, with an indication that his time to depart this world seems to be near. That premonition has come to pass today, Saturday, August 29, 2026.
I first came to know Mallam Bello Sharada in 2003/04 during the administration of His Excellency, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, at the Kano Government House, in the Research and Documentation Office headed by Alhaji Ibrahim Ado Kurawa.
This was during my early days in radio journalism. Mallam Musa Ungogo introduced me to him.
Late Mallam Bello Sharada was a sound writer and public affairs commentator, endowed with exceptional erudition.
He often carried a demeanor of seriousness, and approached every assignment with diligence and commitment. He was a man of his word who did not leave any engagement incomplete.
We pray that Allah forgives his shortcomings, accepts his good deeds, and grants him Aljannatul Firdaus.
