Jigawa state Government has assured the newly established Hisbah Board of continued support to train and retrain its personnel and guards for effective service delivery.
Secretary to the state Government, Malam Bala Ibrahim gave the assurance while addressing Hisbah Guards participants at the ongoing weeklong General Training in General Yakubu Gowon NYSC Orientation Camp Fanisau Dutse.

The SSG who is also the chairman of Hisbah Board steering committee, said he was very impressed with the turn out and conduct of the trainees, promising more government support to them to feel at home at the training ground.
He explained that Hisbah is an islamic organisation that requires physical
fitness which he noted the participants were capable and equal to the task.
Malam Bala Ibrahim said the recruitment of more than two thousand Hisbah Guards now on intensive training was non-political , but based on competency and interest.
He described Jigawa as the most peaceful state in the country and stressed the need for unrelentless prayers to sustain the peace.

Earlier, welcoming the Secretary to the Government the Commandant General Dr Muhammad Faiz Bashir, described the training as a pacesetter to give Hisbah operations a new face look.
He commended Governor Umar Namadi for uplifting Hisbah to the standard status worthy of emulation
Also in his brief ,Secretary to the Hisbah Board Barriter Mustapha Habu said more than 2500 Hisbah guards including 250 Women are undergoing the intensive training with no report of any misconduct.
