He also cited the massive transformation taking place across the state by the administration of Governor Aliyu as another factor behind his decision to join the ruling APC.

Earlier, the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Haruna Adiya, commended Alhaji Sanusi Mai Kyame for what he described as a wise decision to join the APC, as well as his love for the state.
He assured that he would be carried along by the party, saying that the APC in the state is blessed with leaders who keep their promises and always put the interests of the people first in their decisions.
Before his defection to the APC, Alhaji Sanusi Mai Kyame was the former PDP Chairman of Sokoto North Local Government Area and a strong ADC stalwart in the local government.
