The Zamfara State Governor, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle MON (Shattiman Sakkwato) paid a visit to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha at his office in Abuja to discuss issues affecting Zamfara indigenes.
The focus of the visit was on how to fill the state’s quota at the federal level with genuine indigenes of the state, as required by federal character provisions in all federal government MDAs and other political appointments.
The visit also covered the Covid-19 strategy for containing the spread of the new wave virus in Zamfara state and the country as a whole.
Governor Matawalle, who observed that Zamfara State indigenes were being left behind in terms of federal government appointments and strategic positions when compared to other states in the country, appealed to the Federal Character to fill the void. Mr. Boss Mustapha’s accommodating nature provides many opportunities for many people in the country, he praised his simplicity and visionary leadership style.
Mr.Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, responded by thanking Governor Matawalle for his timely visit and promising to place Zamfara indigenes in all federal government MDAs to contribute their fair share to national development.
He also praised the governor’s efforts to bring APC members in the state together, describing it as one of the state’s main signs of development and urging him to keep up the momentum.
The governor was accompanied by Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe, the secretary to the Zamfara State Government, Alhaji Lawal Umar Maradun, the Principal Private Secretary, Alhaji Lawal Umar Maradun, and Alhaji Aliyu Sani Bk, the Director-General Protocols.
