Barely The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Kaduna State has told Zazzau Emirate and inhabitants of the state that it is ready to ensure watertight security before, during, and after the local government elections scheduled for Saturday, September 4th, 2021.
Godwin Miebi, the State Commandant, announced this during a courtesy visit to the Emir of Zazzau, His Highness, Ahmad Nuhu Bamali, in Zaria on Thursday.
The Commandant commended the traditional institution’s important security functions in general, and the Zazzau Emirate in particular, emphasizing that the command appreciates all of the Royal institution’s support.
“Security agencies alone can hardly succeed without the support of members of the traditional institution, it is in recognition of this fact that I have come to seek the usual support of His Highness and members of your council,” Miebi explained.

Continuing he maintained, “We are contributing our quota in synergy with other sister agencies to ensure that the challenge of insecurity bedeviling the state is drastically reduced.”
In response, the Emir, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, expressed satisfaction with the corps’ performance in other services, particularly in his realm, despite constraints such as a lack of staff and equipment.
The Royal father expressed concern over the rise in banditry, citing the recent murder of a pregnant woman in Zaria as an example.

He acknowledged that the country is going through a difficult time, but expressed optimism that the problem is not unique to Nigeria, but rather global in nature, and that it can be overcome with united efforts from all parties. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and coordination among security agencies, as well as the dangers of competitiveness.
