The Senate confirmed on Tuesday the President’s nominations for Secretary and Board members of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, which were submitted by Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).

Senator Hassan Hadejia of Jigawa North East has previously stated that Muhammad’s Curriculum Vitae revealed that he began education before he was born.
“Let me bring to the House’s attention various errors in the report that are contradictory,” Hadejia remarked on page 8, referring to one of the nominees, Alhaji Yahaya Muhammad.
“According to the information before us, the nominee began primary school before he was born.” There is also a gap in his educational experience because he was born on September 29, 1969, and began his Central Primary school education in 1968.
“He was in Borno Teachers College from 1975 and 1988 while simultaneously he was in the College of Administration Studies from 1980 to 1981.
“If these are typographical errors, Mr (Senate) President, maybe we should have them corrected for the sake of our record.”
