The Emir of Fika who doubles as the Chairman Yobe State Council of Traditional Rulers Dr Muhammad Ibn Abali Muhammad Idrissa has called on Nigerians to be fully patriotic in their day to day affairs by considering Nigeria first before any other interest.
The Monarch made the plea during his address at the opening of the 2021 Kaltungo Gombe State Festival.
He stated that the 2023 elections is fast approaching and appealed to Nigerians to live in peace with one another and shun preaching violence to promote peaceful coexistence among themselves for national development and growth.
Emir Idrissa, used the forum to commend Emir of Kaltungo, Engineer Saleh Mohammed for organizing the annual festival programme to promote unity among the people in the state and the nation at large.
According to him “This will go a long way in showcasing various norms and cultures for the upcoming generations to know their traditional values and well as bring people together”.
The traditional ruler however used the forum to pray for Nigeria against all forms of insecurity challenges confronting the country which will soon become things of the past.
