HOTPEN – Tricycle riders have suspended their 7 days warning strike that started on Monday.
The riders are to resume full operations from Thursday.
The Lawyer to the Tricycle riders association, Barr. Abba Hikima announced this at a news conference held in Kano on Wednesday evening.
HOTPEN reports that the tricycle riders had embarked on a 7-day warning strike to protest the annual N8,500 registration number renewal fees and payment of N100 daily imposed by Kano Road Traffic Agency, KAROTA.
Barr. Hikima said the decision to suspend the strike was taken after a meeting with the Chairman of Nigerian Bar Association, Kano branch, Aminu Gadanya, Department of State Service (DSS) and the Managing Director of Kano Road Traffic Agency, Baffa Babba Dan-Agundi.
