Two Gubernatorial Aspirants Shun Consensus Meeting with Badaru

HOTPEN – There was a mixed reactions on the absence of three APC gubernatorial aspirants during a consensus meeting summoned by the Jigawa state governor, Muhammed Badaru Abubakar.
The meeting which was held at the personal residence of Governor Badaru in Kano was attended by seven out of nine gubernatorial aspirants with the aimed at producing credible for the party candidate but it ended in a deadlock.
Those in attendance include the sitting in deputy governor, Umar Namadi, Senator Sabo Muhammad Nakudu, Ahmed Mahmud Gumel, Mohd Kani Hadejia, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, Ahmed Rufai Zakari.
While those who shunned the consensus meeting include Hon. Farouk Adamu Aliyu and AVM Abba Mukhtar.
Contacted on phone, one of the absent aspirants, Hon. Farouk Adamu Aliyu said he will not respond on his absence at the meeting but will brief the press on the matter.
Hotpen reports that, the consensus meeting came barely less than 48hrs to the conduct of primaries of the APC gubernatorial election in Jigawa state.
