SSANU Mourns Death of Vice President

HOTPEN – The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) has expressed shock over the sudden death of its Vice President, Northwest Zone, Comrade Abdulmalik N.B Yunusa, who passed away on Thursday, 15th September, 2022.
The President of SSANU, Comrade Mohammed Haruna Ibrahim, who burst in tears when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased on Saturday, along with Vice President, Northwest, National PRO, National Vice President, Northwest, and National Trustee, described Yunusa as a versatile and credible member, who devoted his time, energy and resources in serving the union and university system.
In a condolence letter presented to the family, the President said, On my behalf, the National Administrative Committee ( NAC) and the National Executive Council (NAC), of our great union, I write to express our deep shock at the news of the sudden death of Comrade Abdulmalik NB Yunusa, who until his demise on 15th September 2022 was the National Vice President (Northwest Zone), and the Chairman of the Staff Appointment, Promotion and Disciplinary Committee of the union. He also served as the Branch Treasurer, SSANU _BUK (2007_2011) and the zonal Treasurer, Northern Zone (2015_2020).
He was a loyal and outstanding officer, who pursued all he believed in with passion. SSANU has indeed lost one of its best. His death left emptiness and a vacuum that is difficult to fill.
SSANU Chairman of BUK, Comrade Mustapha Aminu expressed appreciation over the visit and said it was a sign of good leadership that Comrade Ibrahim demonstrated. He also prayed to Allah to grant the former VP mercy.
The Registrar, Skyline University, Dr. Haruna Aliyu, Secretary, Treasurer, Women Leader of SSANU Northwest Zone, as well as Chairman of KUST Wudil and executives of SSANU, BUK were part of those that received the President.
