Newly recruited Nigerian Police personnels have been urged to exhibit good character, discipline and integrity when discharging their responsibility for Nation building.
The Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali Baba, made the remarks at the passing Our Parade ceremony of the 2021 Police Constables held at the Police Training School Yelwa Bauchi.
The IGP Usman Baba, said the style of leadership is to tolerate zero indiscipline and any act that may be at varience with police professionalism, therefore admonished them not to engage in any act unedifying their good names.
Usman Baba, commended president Muhammadu Buhari for his consistent commitment to repositioning the Nigeria Police Force into a modern policing brand and his giant strides attained towards stabilising the internal security order.
The Inspector General of Police assured to use the huge investment in the Force as source of motivation that will re-energize police personnels to the attainment of national policing mandate.
IGP Usman Baba, also called on citizens to be law abiding as the new Police is adequately imbibed with courage,servitude and compassion is being evolved with a renewed vigor to perform its statutory duties in the enforcement of law and order to protect lives and properties.
He also called on parents to encourage their children and wards to take interest in pursuing a career in the Nigeria Police Force as it remains the most veritable platform to contribute to the path of National service.
The IG of Police said that,all recruited Constables will be deployed to complement officers on the forthcoming election security duties across the country in bid to ensure free,fair and credible electoral process.
