The Head of Civil Service of Kano State Government, Alh. Usman Bala Muhammad.
A competent source told Hotpen that Bala Usman resigned his position as Head of civil service about three days ago but it was not reported due to lack of authenticity of his resignation.
A reliable source informed this medium that Bala voluntarily resigned to avoid public embrassmment as it was reported that some kitchen cabinets of Abba Kabir’s government are seeing him as a stooge having worked against the NNPP government in the 2023 elections.
Even Kano SSG, Abdullahi Baffa Bichi was said to have bragged at the closing ceremony of the three days workshop organized for Information Officers/PRO and media aides at Tahir Guest Palace Hotel, Kano, that it was only Bala Usman that remains in their cabinet who were inherited from former Ganduje’s administration.
Usman Bala was appointed as HOS by former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and the present administration retained him.
Bala, a season administrator per excellence was amongst the longest serving permanent secretaries in Kano State civil service having worked as Permanent Secretary Deputy Governor’s office, Permanent Secretary ministry of health and information before appointed as Head of civil service of Kano State Government.
Bala Usman has confirmed his resignation from the Kano State Government service in a telephone conversation with one of his closest associates.
