No fewer than 7 civilians have been killed as many were kidnapped by the group of armed bandits in Gada village of Bungudu local government area of Zamfara state.
Resident of the area in a telephone interview with our reporter who pleaded anonymity said the bandits attacked the community at around 6:00pm Saturday.
“The bandits stormed our village riding motorcycles in a large numbers carrying heavy weapons and began shooting sporadically on people and we lost seven people as many were kidnapped during the attack”. He said
Our correspondent reports that the attack is coming a day after the governor left the state to Imo state leading PDP team for governorship election.
He also appealed to federal government to come to the aide of Zamfara people from the activities of terrorists .
“I am calling on Federal government to deploy more security personnel to Zamfara state to address the lingering insecurity do to activities of terrorists.
However, efforts to reach the state police command spokes person Asp Yazeed Abubakar by our correspondent proved abortive as at the time of compiling the report.
