The Federal Government Of Nigeria has reiterated it’s readiness to bring to an end the armed banditry in Zamfara and North West and Northern Part of the Country.
Senator Abdul’aziz Yari representing Zamfara west senatorial district, has said during a stakeholders meeting at his residence in Talata Mafara Saturday while reacting to the outcome of the supreme Court judgment on the issue of Zamfara State governorship election.
Abdul’aziz Yari who called on the party supporters to support Dauda’s government policies on security said, President Tinubu is seriously committed to end Banditry, kidnapping and other terrorism activities in the state.
According to him, the office of the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu is working tirelessly with security operatives and critical stakeholders in the state to get a lasting solution to the terrorism that is bedeviling the state for over a decade.
He revealed that the meeting was summoned on behalf of himself, the former governor and Minister of State Defence, Bello Matawalle and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the outcome of the supreme Court judgment which he said was a surprise but they accepted it in good faith.
According to him the meeting with all the Chairmen of the 147 wards in Zamfara state, local governments and state executives of the party (APC) as well as other stakeholders to console them on the outcome of the supreme Court judgment and to set new agenda for the progress of the party and it’s members.
He lamented that disunity among APC members were the major factors that led to the failure which he called on all the supporters to work towards resolving the differences with a view to making the party more strong ahead of the 2027 general election.
Yari, who assured members and supporters of the APC a more befitting welfare package also noted that they are working closely with president Tinubu to ensure restoration of normalcy in the state.
He also charged APC Members to step down the messages of unity, patience, resilience, adaptability, and perseverance to other members at wards and polling units, adding that they will be adequately taking care to ensure their comfortability in the state even beyond those in government.
