The Nigerian Army under the operations Hadarin Daji in northwest organized workshop on human rights lecture and sensitization to the military officers in Zamfara state.
Declaring the workshop open held at the command guest in Gusau today, the Commander 1 Brigade and Sector 1 Joint Task Force OPHD Maj Gen GM Mutkut stated that the theme of the workshop is Proper Conduct of the Nigerian Soldiers within the larger society in Zamfara.
Maj Gen GM Mutkut who was represented by Col Joseph Umaru at the event urged soldiers under operations Hadarin Daji in Zamfara state to operate professionally and desist any action that could touch the dignity and rights of the good citizens in the state during their operation for the fight against banditry.
“I urged you to Conduct operations based on the tenant of provision of the law and obey the law of work during Internal security operations in Zamfara state “. He added.
According to him, the workshop was organized to ensure the participants were enlightened and educated on how to behave within the larger society during the fight against banditry in the state.
“You must operate as discipline soldiers and respect to humanity within your respective formation of duty “.
He also reiterated that, the operations Hadarin Daji under his watch will remain committed to onslaught and mitigate bandits wherever they are in the state for peace to thrive.
Maj Gen GM Mutkut appealed to good people of the state to cooperate with the military during their operational activities in their respective domain.
“We must appeal to good people of Zamfara state on the need to give every necessary support to the military during their operation so as to enable them mitigate the terrorists bandits in the state”. He said.
According to him, the military will work in synergy with sister security agencies in the fight against banditry and other forms of criminalities in the state.
