Jigawa State Governor, Mal. Namadi Umar has pledged to maintain the cordial working relation in existence with the senior editors of the Nigerian Guild of Editors Kano/Jigawa Forum.
Speaking at Government House Dutse when he received members of the forum led by it’s chairman, Dr. Sule Yau Sule, Governor Namadi described information as a powerful tools and it significance cannot be over emphasized.
The Governor who expressed the belief that the relationship between Jigawa state government and the Editors will grow for the benefit of the state, added that “Information is not cheap but partnering with Editors makes it cheaper.
“You can’t get information cheap but you can get it cheap by maintaining the mutual relationship with Editors”. Governor Namadi pointed out.
He described the visit as timely and well commendable, saying he feel honoured for the visit and it is a privileged to him, pledged to provide all the necessary support to the senior editors and other journalists to showcase their potentials.
Earlier, Chairman of Kano/Jigawa Forum of NGE, Dr. Sure Ya’u Sule, informed Governor Namadi that promoting the remarkable achievements of his administration is crucial for the teaming Jigawa people to know his giant strides in developing the state as contained in the proposed 12point agenda.
His words:- “We have so many Journalists in the northern parts of the country, who are qualified to be members of the NGE but unfortunately negligible numbers of them are members.
