Governor Malam Umar Namadi has flagged off the state-wide J-CARES Women Economic Empowerment Programmes in Gwari Community, under Dutse local government area.
This initiative according to a statement from Media Directorate Government House Dutse was part of the broader J-CARES Interventions, aims to empower 12,600 women across the state with ₦50,000 each, totaling ₦630 million.
The program aims to improve the lives of impoverished and vulnerable households, especially women, who account for 51% of the state’s population.
In the same vein, Governor Namadi also announced an upcoming partnership with the World Bank for the Nigeria for Women Project, furthering the state’s commitment to women’s empowerment.
Governor Namadi urged beneficiaries to use the grants wisely to establish sustainable livelihoods.
