Rural and Urban Communities in Kebbi State will soon smile as electricity bill 2024 passed on public hearing to stakeholders ministries, Boards and Commissions after which it will pass into law by State House of Assembly.
Chairman House Committee on Judiciary and Electricity, Hon. Farouq Abubakar Maisudan disclosed this to Journalists after the passing of the bill to stakeholders ministries, Agencies and Commissions for careful study before returning it to the house for deliberation.
According to Maisudan, the bill if, pass will remove millions of people in both rural and urban areas in Kebbi State from darkness.
“We therefore gave the ministries, Agencies and Commissions a copies of the bill for them to study it and submit it back to us for delebration at public hearing before we pass it into law.” Maisudan said.
He added that it was out of his Excellency the governor, Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu magnanimity to get out both rural and urban communities in the state from darkness has sent the bill to the house for passing it law.
He called on people in Kebbi State to continue support Kaura led administration in its efforts to change the narrative of its citizenry.
The bill is expected to receive public hearing at the assembly on Wednesday.
