Governor Umar Namadi has reaffirmed Jigawa State’s commitment to sustaining peace, security, and community engagement as key drivers of development and social stability.
The Governor stated this while receiving participants of Senior Course 48 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, who are in the state for the 2026 Nigerian Study Tour focused on “Promoting Community Engagement for Enhanced National Security and Prosperity.”
Governor Namadi assured the delegation of the state government’s full support throughout the study visit, directing all ministries, departments, and agencies to provide the team with necessary information and research materials.
The Governor attributed the peaceful atmosphere in Jigawa State to strong collaboration among security agencies, traditional institutions, community leaders, and residents.
He also commended security operatives in the state for maintaining effective synergy and professionalism in safeguarding lives and property.
Governor Namadi noted that Jigawa remains open to partnerships and knowledge-sharing initiatives that will strengthen national security and promote sustainable development across Nigeria.
The AFCSC delegation, led by the Commandant, Air Vice Marshal Alfred Olubenga Obasogun, is in Jigawa State to study the policies, structures, and community-based strategies adopted by the state government in sustaining peace and stability.
The delegation comprises military officers from Nigeria, Ghana, the Republic of Benin, and Chad.
The study tour is expected to generate practical recommendations that will contribute to national peacebuilding and security management efforts.
