Veteran Broadcaster and Journalist, Hajiya Madina Dauda Nadabo has been appointed Director of Communications and Public Affairs of the Africa Blue Economy Roundtable (ABER).
The appointment was contained in a letter dated September 15, 2026, signed by the Chairman/CEO of ABER and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the BRACED Tourism Promotion and Development Initiative (BTPDI), Dr. Piriye Kiyaramo.

According to the letter, the appointment recognises Nadabo’s distinguished career as a veteran broadcast journalist with over four decades of experience in journalism and international broadcasting, as well as her service as a Bureau Coordinator and Programme Officer for the Voice of America (VOA) Nigeria Service since 1998 across its English and Hausa services.
In her new role, Nadabo will lead ABER’s communication strategy, branding and official statements, serve as its spokesperson, manage media and public relations, and oversee the organisation’s website and social media platforms.
Her responsibilities will also include managing relationships with government, diplomatic missions and other stakeholders, coordinating advocacy for women in the Blue Economy, overseeing internal communications and publications, and leading publicity for ABER programmes and recognitions.
The appointment, described in the letter as voluntary, takes effect from September 15, 2026.
