Following a violence which erupted between APC and ADC supporters in Jega local government area of Kebbi State during a football match game that resulted in destruction and caused chaos in the area, the All Progressive Congress ( APC) in Kebbi state has urged security agencies to investigate the circumstances surrounding the remote cause of the crisis.
Briefing the Newsmen at the Party’s Secretariat in Birnin Kebbi, the Publicity Secretary of the party, Isah Assalafi the ruling party has condemned in totality on the recent destruction and caused of violence by politicians in Jega, allegedly by some minor Supporters of the opposition party.
The PRO however noted that Jega as a town, has a long history of active political participation and remains an important community within Kebbi state.
“Therefore, the actions of some minority must not be allowed to create a false imperative about the character of people in the area. ” Said Assalafi.
“We called on security personnel to make through Investigation into the voilence and establish facts surrounding on what really happened, identifying those involved and allow them to face the full reith of law” he added.
It was gathered that the violence occurred when some youths were on friendly match in Jega weekend, after the end of the match, it was allegedly a Commissioner of youths and sports announced that people in Jega must elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and governor Nasir Idris in the forthcoming 2027 general elections which did urgar well to some youths of opposition party.
