Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa state has sworn in 16 new commissioners with their portfolios.
Hotpen reports that, the swearing ceremony was held at Government House Dutse conference hall attended by APC supporters, chieftain, elected and appointed officials.
Speaking during the ceremony, governor Namadi, charged the new appointed and sworn in commissioners to strive hard and assist him to achieve his twelve points agenda for greater Jigawa state.
Governor Namadi urged the new commissioners to make sure they monitor any contract awarded under their jurisdiction not just to seat in their offices and fold arms.
Hotpen reports that, the newly appointed commissioners with their portfolio includes Ibrahim Babangida Umar in charge of Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Prof. Hannatu Sabo Muhammad Ministry of Finance and Dr. Muhammad Abdullahi Kainuwa assigned to Ministry of Health.
Also assigned are Aminu Kanta to Ministry of Commerce, Ahmed Garba MK Ministry for Local Government, Ibrahim Garba Hannun Giwa, Ministry of Water Resources and Dr. Lawan Yunusa Danzomo Ministry of Basic Education.
Others are Dr. Isah Yusuf Chamo
Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Sagir Musa Ahmed Ministry of Information, Youth, Sports and Culture, Hadiza Abdulwahab
Ministry of Women Affairs and Col. Muhammad Alhassan (rtd) assigned to Ministry of Lands and Regional Planning.
While Dr. Nura Ibrahim Dandoka assigned to
Ministry of Environment, Engr. Gambo Shu’aibu Mallam — Ministry of Works, Auwal Danladi Sankara
Ministry of Special Duties, Musa Adamu Aliyu ministry of Justice and Muttaka Namadi ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Hotpen gathered that out of the 16 sworn in members of the state executive council, eight have served in the last administration of Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar while eight others are new in the cabinet of the new administration of Mal. Umar Namadi.
Three out of eight from former Badaru’ government retained their seats as commissioners, they include Auwalu Sankara for special duties, Ibrahim Hannun Giwa for Water Resources and Musa Adamu Aliyu for Justice respectively.
