The Sokoto State Government had sent a powerful delegation for a fact-finding mission to the Katsina State House of Assembly to study the law that established the Katsina State Security Community Watch Corps.
The delegation led by the Majority Leader of Sokoto State House of Assembly Hon. Bello Idris was received by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura alongside other principal officers and Honourable Members of the House.
Hon. Bello Idris said they were in the State Assembly to obtain a copy of the law to enable the Sokoto State Government to study its contents for its onward domestication in the state.
They saluted the foresight of the leadership of Katsina State House of Assembly for ensuring speedy passage of the bill into law which enabled the Government to establish the agency in the state.
The speaker Katsina State House of Assembly described the visit as a good omen towards ensuring interstate synergy to end the menace of banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of crimes in the northern part of the country.
After the presentation of the documents to the delegation, the Speaker Rt. Hon Nasir Yahaya later conducted them around the legislative chamber to see for themselves the state-of-the-art facilities which makes the chamber to be regarded as among the best in the country.
