Flood victims in the Gangare and Maje villages of Ningi Local Government Area have received relief materials and cash from Bauchi Speaker.
While sympathizing with the victims, the Speaker urged them to find comfort in the fact that every Muslim will be tested by Almighty Allah with either good or bad fates in order to strengthen his faith.
According to the Speaker, he was shocked to learn of the floods in the villages and the collapse of the Gadar Mulka Bridge, which prompted him to rush to the scene of the washed-away bridge and flood-ravaged villages.
He explained that while the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad, is repairing the collapsed bridge, he has decided to provide relief materials to them in order to mitigate the effects of the flood’s destruction and losses.
Rt. Honorable. Abubakar Y Suleiman also went around the villages to assess the extent of the flood damage and reassured the residents that the State Government’s relevant agencies would assist them.
20 bags of rice, 20 bags of maize, 20 bags of millet, 100 mats, 50 blankets, 100 plastic buckets, and various household utensils were distributed.
During the disbursement, Alhaji Isah Haruna Tiffi, Special Adviser to the Speaker on Political Affairs, said that the Speaker is very responsive to the yearnings, aspirations, and conditions of his constituents, which is why he makes daily interventions and initiatives in the Constituency.
He attributed the Speaker’s rise from state to national prominence to what he is doing for his constituents, as well as the love and prayers of his constituents.
Malam Saleh Mai Wuri, speaking on behalf of the victims, expressed the victims’ gratitude to the Speaker for what he described as unstoppable acts of kindness to the community. He prayed to Almighty Allah for blessings, protection, and reward.
