Zamfara state governor Dauda Lawal said, he inherited the sum of over thirteen billion (N13 billion) pension and gratuity backlog from the previous governments from 2012 to date.
Governor Dauda stated this today as part of his one year anniversary in Gusau the state capital.
According to him, from inception of his administration to date, he settled over N5 billion pension and gratuity backlog.
“I inherited over thirteen billion pension and gratuity backlog from the previous governments starting from 2012, and God willing, I settled over five billion pension and gratuity backlog within one year in office and I will make sure every retired civil servants get their gratuity and pension backlog”. He said.
He further stated that his administration will remain committed to ensure every retired civil servants get their gratuity.
Governor Dauda maintained that, his administration is working round the clock to rescue the state socially and economically.
According to him, the issue of insecurity, education, youth Empowerment, agriculture, health care, and good governance were among the sectors he give much emphasis as part of his administration rescue mission.
He urged good people of the state to remain law abiding citizens and support his administration to actualise its dream.
